Olha Sokolova heads the rating department of Credit Intelligence Rating Agency (CIRA) and chairs the agency's Rating Committee. She is responsible for analysing the financial statements of rated entities, collecting market data and sector reviews, applying the agency's rating methodologies and preparing draft rating reports and rationales for consideration by the rating committee.

She joined the agency in November 2024, initially as a rating analyst, while CIRA was preparing for authorization: she worked on the internal rating methodologies and their back-testing.

For two decades she taught at the Department of Corporate Finance and Controlling of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman: corporate financial analysis, business finance, financial management, management of corporate financial rehabilitation and crisis financial management.

Her practical experience combines corporate finance, internal audit and work with contractual risk: documentary support and accounting of warehouse operations, then internal audit at the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine JSC, and later the analysis department of the property developer Standard Engineering Group.

Independence of the rating process. Ratings are decided by a collegial rating committee, whose decisions are recorded in minutes. Olha Sokolova takes no part in fee negotiations with rated entities.
